Prior art, provably.

Copyright registration is expensive and slow. Wheelder Registry gives you cryptographic proof of existence in minutes — anchored to the most secure ledger on earth.

🔐

SHA-256 Fingerprinting

Every registration generates a unique cryptographic fingerprint of your title, description, version, timestamp, and commit SHA. Tamper-proof from creation.

Bitcoin Anchoring

Your fingerprint is submitted to OpenTimestamps and embedded in a Bitcoin block. Immutable, decentralized, and verifiable without any third party.

📜

Proof Certificates

Download a PDF proof certificate for every registration — suitable for legal proceedings, investor due diligence, and IP dispute resolution.

🗄️

IP Registry Database

Every registration is stored in a searchable database. Browse your full innovation history, filter by version, date, or project — all locally hosted.

Zero Dependencies

Pure PHP. Drop it into any server — Apache, Nginx, shared hosting. No frameworks, no Composer requirements, no external services beyond OpenTimestamps.

🔗

Commit SHA Linking

Link each registration to a specific Git commit. Proves not just what you built, but exactly which version existed at a given point in time.

How it works

From idea to blockchain in 3 steps.

1

Describe your innovation

Enter a title, description, version number, and optional Git commit SHA. Wheelder Registry builds the canonical record.

2

Fingerprint & submit

A SHA-256 hash of your record is generated and submitted to OpenTimestamps, which batches it into a Bitcoin transaction.

3

Download your proof

Once confirmed (typically within the hour), download your proof certificate. The timestamp is now permanent and verifiable by anyone.

FAQ

Is this legally recognized?

Bitcoin timestamps are increasingly accepted as evidence of prior existence in IP disputes. They are not a substitute for formal copyright registration, but provide strong cryptographic proof of when your work existed.

What is OpenTimestamps?

OpenTimestamps is a free, open-source protocol that batches cryptographic hashes into Bitcoin transactions. Once in a block, your timestamp is permanent and verifiable by anyone with the proof file.

How long does anchoring take?

OpenTimestamps aggregates hashes and anchors them in the next Bitcoin block (~10 minutes). The proof file is available for download as soon as the block is confirmed.

What if Wheelder shuts down?

Your timestamp is on the Bitcoin blockchain — it exists independently of Wheelder. Download your .ots proof file and you can verify it yourself using the open-source OpenTimestamps client forever.

Can I register code, designs, ideas?

Anything you can describe in text can be registered — source code, design specs, business processes, research findings, creative works. The fingerprint is of the description, not the actual content.

Do I need technical knowledge to self-host?

Basic PHP hosting is all you need. Any shared host (cPanel, Plesk) works. Upload the files, create a MySQL database, run the installer. Done in 10 minutes.
